Amazon: Prime Video Live Events

Software Development Engineer 1

  • Developing a React web application for Live Events Management Tool which begins a pipeline of publishing live events on Amazon including live sports and concerts through a java backend model.
  • Writing and reviewing code changes from team of 6 developers that include functional improvements, integration tests, unit tests, API calls, and front-end changes to increase functionality of tool for customers.
  • Ensuring operational excellence by participating in an on-call rotation to solve ongoing issues including system availability or code defects which are actively affecting customers.
  • Drafted and presented a design document on an internal project outlining the deprecation of a current system to integration with our current one and provided outlines and workflows for each task.

UCLA Anderson, Graduate School of Management

Web Developer

  • Automated the migration of 250+ Anderson Review Articles and 900+ UCLA Faculty researcher profiles using Python with compatibility for future content migration.
  • Revamped Anderson Review Webpage using Wordpress built with PHP and Javascript.
  • Configured CMS entries using Ingeniux and resolved JavaScript compatibility issues with focus on ADA accessibility and mobile/desktop responsive design.

UCLA Strategic Communications Web Development

Web Developer

  • Develops features for 25 UCLA marketing web properties including main ucla.edu and other branding sites.
  • Edits websites written in PHP, built on Laravel framework, and deployed with Docker and AWS.
  • Practices professional Git workflow using Jira suite, well versed in QA work and merging branches.
  • Works with a team of 9 other developers to update websites in weekly sprints. Actively communicate with Product Managers to ensure updates are on time and adjusted when needed.

Lead Assistant Desktop Support Analyst

  • Leads 5 other student workers in assigning tasks, managing schedules and ensuring different jobs are completed, in charge of around 60+ tasks each day to satisfy multiple department needs.
  • Supports multiple issues, including Windows/Mac imaging through IBM BigFix, active directory management, installation of network servers in UCLA’s server, hardware installation and setup, and general software troubleshooting.

-Built a webserver with a team of 4 students using C++ to parse a Nginx configuration file for our Software Engineering Class taught by 4 Google Engineers emphasizing good software engineering practices.
